Brisingr summary 4
Eragon sends Roran and Katrina off on Saphira and goes back into Helgrind before Saphira could stop him. He meets the remaining Razac and it attempts to strike a deal with Eragon. The Ra'zac begs Eragon to tell tales of it and its race as the monsters of legend, in exchange for information on Galbatorix. Without further information, Eragon refuses the deal, prompting the Ra'zac to attack him in fury, and Eragon ultimately kills the creature with his staff. Eragon escapes with Sloan, and barely avoids a contingent of soldiers.
Brisingr summary 3
While searching through the cells in Helgrind Roran finds Katrina looking sick, and pale. As Roran looks for the key Eragon decides to search through the cells. In amazement he finds Sloan the father of Katrina with his eyes poked out. Eragon is troubled what to do, though eragon knows that killing Sloan quietly would be the merciful thing to do and the easiest way our of his conundrum, after all Sloan betrayed the village of Carvahall and killed Byrd. Eragon still cannot bring himself to cold-bloodedly murder anyone helpless. Eragon lies to Roran, and says that he had found Sloan's dead body. Roran in turn informs Katrina, and she closes he eyes and mourns.
Brisingr summary 2
While searching for Katrina, Eragon Saphira and Roran journey into Helgrind, where they are ambushed by the Razac. Eragon is surprised why he wasn't able to sense the Razacs mind, which is why they were so easily ambushed. The battle finished with Roran decimating one of the Razacs with a blow from his hammer, while the other razac flees because of the injury he acquired from Eragon's sword during the fight. Eragon and Roran continue their search, while Saphira waits outside the because she cant fit into the cave.
